This October Newcastle is buzzing with things to do! Take a look at a few of the events we’ve selected for you…

Step back in time with this theatrical event presented by Twenty Seven Live (the makers of ‘Hitler’s Headquarters’), taking place at the fortress that gave the city its name.
One of the most mysterious and sinister parts of Newcastle’s history will be exposed in a. 'WYTCH', running from 14th until 31st October. Twenty Seven Live will present their performances in the Great Hall of the historic building. Beneath the audience’s feet lies the Castle’s basement where some of the accused ‘witches’ were imprisoned before their trials.
This production is perfect for the entire family, with a soundtrack that inspires young and old to sing and dance along; Disney On Ice transports audiences to a wintry and spellbinding world. It is the must-see magical event of the season, which is accompanied by a clever and spectacular array of special effects including a projection canopy that lights the ice with Elsa’s power.
Returning this autumn half term is Newcastle Gateshead’s annual festival, celebrating the creativity of children and young people. For nine days you can attend events produced by, for and with children and young people.
Juice Festival is a multi-arts festival held in the city’s cultural venues, libraries and public spaces. With unmissable events ranging from dance, performance, exhibitions and workshops, this is an ideal family day out, with inclusive events for everyone.

Date: 22nd October – 28th October 2016
This 6 day exhibition enables you to explore visions of the city, through the eyes of the people who live here.
Mapping the City was launched at Juice 2015, and the project team of artists and academics have worked with schools and youth groups to collect over 400 maps which uncover special, secret and hidden places.
You can attend workshops during the festival and even add your own map to the gallery.
Friday Night Life – Alternative Night Out for Adults
Venue: Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne And Wear, NE1 4EP
Date: 28th October 2016 19:00 – 22:30

Want to try something different this weekend? Head down to the adults only evening at the Centre for Life, where you can experience some chilling horror shorts in the planetarium, feel the fear and join Jay Gunn in his mini zoo of animals, experiment on yourself in the new Brain Zone and much, much, more!
